Updated: BB4CK Family & Community Picnic, June 9, 2012

Thank you for your interest to join us in BB4CK’s Community Family Picnic.

We have decided to cancel the event this year.

We have an amazing network of committed staff, volunteers, and community supporters.  Everyday around Calgary, people are rolling up their sleeves (and washing their hands) to ensure that children receive the nutrition and love they need.

We realized in planning our “thank you” event that our network finds greater thanks in doing the work – than being recognized for doing the work.

In our 10th year, we say thank you for all you have done and look forward to continuing to work together to ensure that all children are loved and cared for by family, community and society.

Our 10 for 10 List

1. Speak to 10 friends about Brown Bagging.

2. Hold a fund raiser for BB4CK – anything from a night out for drinks to a company event.

3. Think bigger and beyond. What action can you commit to for 10 days? 10 weeks? 10 months?

4. Go for a day without food and tweet about it. How do you feel? Concentration? Mood? Energy? Raise money doing it.

5. Prepare and deliver a lunch to a hungry child.

6. Volunteer at the main BB4CK Kitchen Monday, March 26th.

7. Use FB/ Twitter (hashtag #bb4ck10)/ or over a meal to talk about the fact there are almost 3000 kids in Calgary that BB4CK helps thru the main kitchen and thru community partners.

8. Call your local school, church or community association and ask what they need-then do it!

9. Dream up an imaginative solution to local child hunger.

10. Thanking you for making lunches, in the kitchen & in the community, to ensure that all children are loved and cared for by family, community and society.
