My kid(s) won't eat vegetables!
- Offer variety early
- Have a one-bite rule; at least they've tried it. Tastes change, so introduce the vegetable again next month, but don't make mealtime a battle!
- Be a role model; if you don't eat it (or eat it and complain) there's no way your kids are going to want to try it.
- Add vegetables to food they already like.
For example:
- Add steamed broccoli to macaroni
& cheese.
- Add pureed cooked carrots to
spaghetti sauce.
- Make zuchinni muffins.
- Melt cheese on top or sprinkle with parmesan.
- Let your kids help prepare or grow veggies.
- Serve vegetables raw with dip; often kids prefer them this way.
